One Eye Monster: Keeping My Eyes On The Prize!
I’m so thankful for 2014. You guys have been amazing with sharing, commenting and just being so supportive in my journey. Here’s to another year!
December was a busy month for a lot of us in the blogging world. Some continued on with the daily post while others took a small break. I took a break from writing during the holidays so that I could spend time with the family. I finally got to watch season 9 of Supernatural (one of my guilty pleasures) on Netflix. I also joined a few Facebook groups to feed my new planner/stationary obsession. Who KNEW there were so many planner addicts out there?
December started out really nicely. Got all my Christmas gifts for under 300$ (that’s for 6 people). The Little Man was spoiled this year (oh the struggle of an only child). I feel I was also spoiled this year. Got some really nice gifts that I wasn’t expecting at all. The hubby also bought me my very first Kikki K planner!
In my last post I shared with you my goals for 2015. One of those goals is to bring my debts down by 5000$ I think it is doable! I’m also going to do the 52 week money challenge. This one might be a little more tough because I’m a scatterbrain and will forget. But I feel that by sharing this with you guys, I will be held accountable and be more motivated to complete this challenge. Now, who’s with me?! 😉
Net Worth Report for December 2014
Check out the Little Man’s One Eye Monster! He insisted on writing his name on it!
Wow Seriously guys, it’s been over a year since I’ve started sharing my journey with you guys! I have my dear friend R to thank for the idea and my Little Man for his awesome coloring skills. Than you all again for your continuous support.
What are some things you wish to accomplish for the year 2015? I love to hear from you guys!
Don’t forget to subscribe to my future monster posts!

Great monster drawing as always.I had the longest break this year but I am really glad to be back in to the routine again now.
Keep working on it, mama. It’s all you can do, right? And can I tell you how much I love the one eyed monster?? So cute.
Keep plugging away, you will get there! I don’t set goals for myself, I’m happy with what I can manage.
My goal for this year is the same goal I have every year. I want to grow, grow, grow my blog. It’s so much fun!
I would love to see my blog grow more this year, too!
I want to save more money monthly so I have it for the holidays. I hate getting to November/December and struggling to buy all the gifts. I have several goals this year, but haven’t written all of them down (I need to get on that.)
You can do it!! As always yet another great monster drawing – I could definitely give this one a hug! x
Wow you can do it! Looks to me you know what your doing and all you can do is keep on keeping on! Also, that is an adorable drawing!
Way to go on your Christmas shopping! Very good
Good luck with your 2015. It should be amazing for all of us
I love the 52 Week Money Challenge. It’s great for anyone who wants to really get started saving money.
I really need to do that one. I’m TERRIBLE about saving my money. =/
That 52 week challenge sounds like a good way to save money.
You will do it! Keep going! And keep posting those adorable drawings!
Sounds like you are headed in the right direction, that is great that you have a plan in action.
I am going to take more time for myself this year. It can be so hard to shut my computer off at the end of the day. I will work half the night away if i am not careful. I get lost in a time warp. Now i set an alarm and shut every thing down. I love the cute drawing.
That is so adorable, even the one eye monster gets to enjoy a nice Christmas present!
Cute monster! I have a goal this year of wanting to double my following this year. I’m still not 100% how I’m gonna do it but I’m sure gonna try.
His little monster is cute. Have you seen the places that will take your kid’s drawings and turn them into a stuffed animal? This one would be cute.
I haven’t made any resolutions but I definitely set some goals for myself this year. I quit smoking!!! Which is huge. My husband and I both quit and it has been only 7 days but we are feeling really good about it. I have been a smoker for 30 years but because my daughter just had twins and one has lung problems we decided that the time was now. I am also trying to finish my first book and to become more organized this year not only in blogging buy IRL as well.
My goals are mostly about heatlh. To drink more water and cut out snacks that are processed. Stick to more fruits and veggies. I can do this!!
Sounds like you and your family had a good holiday. I’m all for saving money so I’ll be checking into this 52 week money challenge.
You are doing well! I wish I had a 0 on my student loan line. Instead, I have way too many zeros! I’m to the point where I am starting to think I won’t have it paid off in my lifetime.
What a cute monster! Children art is pretty much the best thing ever! I hope 2015 brings you great things!
You can totally do it! 🙂
I became a Beachbody coach in December of last year & have a goal to build a successful business while helping others get in shape this year. & like you said, “eye on the prize”!
You can get your debts down, you seem really organised and assessing everything. I’m doing the 52 week money challenge too this year 🙂
It sounds like you have some great goals for 2015 and are on the right track. Way to go girl!
I really should take part in that challenge. I’m doing a 52 week organizing challenge and that’s proving to be pretty good so far.
Good luck tackling your debt this year! That’s one of my goals as well. Your son’s monster drawing is so cute 🙂
My husband and I have not started a retirement plan, but we need to. I just love the picture your son drew. Precious!
I hope you have a great journey into the new year. The first thing I want to accomplish is to get well. After that, I want to sit down and write some goals to see what I can realistically accomplish in this new year.
There are so many things I hope for this year – one of them is that I am able to curb my spending as I am just awful. Other than that I would love to be more organised! Good luck!
Wow under $300 for 6 people… That’s really impressive! Also the monster is just too cute 🙂
What a little artist you’ve got! Staying focused on your specific goals will help you get there before you know it!
I’m always so amazed by your updates. And that is an adorable one eyed monster.
Christmas definitely puts a dent in the budget. I also gained a few pounds so I guess it evened all out. 🙂
Love the art, love that you got gifts for under $300 and for 2015 all I keep thinking is I want my sirius/xm back. Oh, and supernatural is a new guilty pleasure for me on netflix too. I’m almost to season 7 🙂
I’m working on the 52-week challenge. That’s my goal for this year. Crossing my fingers!
You are doing a great job. I need to set up my budget and track all of my expenses and income for the household to see where I am at.
Good to know you had a wonderful 2014. So did we. Love that drawing, so cute! Here’s wishing you a wonderful 2015 as well!
Good luck to you in accomplishing your financial goal! And I was an only child, so I remember being spoiled at Christmas too. 🙂
Tristan’s monster is so cute! Thanks for sharing that with us! I was going to do the 52 week challenge as well but it doesn’t help when you have to take money OUT of your savings. I’ll get it going again!
The photos reminds me when my kid was just like your kids age and I wanted to save more money for the year for hes school. I’m sure you’l get that challenge successful!
