Hi friends! Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to get caught up in what’s next: the next task, next meal, following email, the next gig. But joy isn’t waiting for us in the “next.” It’s hiding in the middle of the chaos, if we stop long enough to notice. Today is Sunday, which means Grateful Sunday. It’s also the second day of NaBloPoMo and coincidentally, it’s also Daylight Saving Time.
Things Bringing Me Joy Right Now

Here are five small things bringing me joy right now:

1. My first cup of coffee after school drop-off.
There’s something magical about that quiet moment when the house is finally still. Especially on the days the baby decides to sleep in lol.
2. Watching the garden rest.
All summer, it was bursting with life. The garden that was once bursting with color and life is now quietly tucking itself in for the winter. Nature knows rest is part of growth. I’m already dreaming about next year’s harvest. We still have a few things left to do, like emptying out the pool and putting away the toys and the garden hose.

3. Comfort food season.
The slow cooker has officially returned to the counter. Soups, stews, casseroles! The kind of meals that make the house smell like home. I’ve already made tomato soups twice and am planning to make potato soup this week.
4. Writing again.
Getting back into daily blogging feels like coming home to myself. I missed the rhythm of words and the connection with all of you.

When I list things like this, it reminds me that joy doesn’t have to be grand. It’s in ordinary moments a warm cup, a child’s giggle, a sunset after a long day.
If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll take a minute to list five things that are bringing you joy right now. It’s a small act, but it changes how you see everything.
