I recently got to the chance to review the new Kiss Instawave curling iron. A couple days before I learned that I would be receiving this curling iron. I cut my hair! YIKES!! For those who do not know, I have naturally kinky hair. I also happen to be very lazy when it comes to my hair so I tend to always have it in braids. I haven’t been to a beauty salon in forever and I noticed a lot of dead ends. Soo…I got a little bit trigger happy with the scissors lol
I initially let a co-worker try the Instawave curling iron for few days. She messaged me back saying “What the HECK is this thing?!!! It doesn’t work!” She has longer straight hair, so I figured it would work with her. She did admit that she could not get the hang of it.
At this point, I wasn’t sure how I would be able to write a review for the Instawave. Then I had a lightbulb moment! My sister works at a beauty supply store. Lucky for me, she loves me to pieces and was able to get me some pictures and even a video on how the Instawave works.
Below is the video her and her very nice co-worker took for me using a mannequin head. Note that the hair on the mannequin is natural human hair.

Before and After:
According to my sister, it takes a while to get the hang of it. She also mentions that the curling iron works best on long straight hair. So if you have kinky hair, this might not be the best product for you.
What do you guys thing? Is the Instawave something you would like to try?

Sometimes, all I want is a little bit of wave in my hair. Just enough to make it look like I really did do something with it. This might be just the tool I need.
I have a slight wave in my hair naturally. I would love if it were a little bit more defined though.
I actually saw a video of someone using it and it didn’t turn out so well. I don’t know if she understood how to use it though. It looks like a great idea if it works like they say. I have straight long hair and I would definitely try it.
I have short kinky hair so this definitely won’t be for me.
Your hair looks fantastic. Glad this worked so well for you!
I’m not sure if my hair is long enough for this. I’d love to give it a try – I’m always looking for added wave/curls.
I think I need one of these in my life! I love what it can do!
I’d love to try this on my dd7. She has straight long blonde hair.
This would be fantastic! My 9 year old has boring, limp hair.
This is a cool little device. It worked really well on the mannequin head!
Sounds like a awesome stylish hair tool, I have to check it out 😀
I don’t think I would need this as my hair has a soft natural wave sometimes, but it does look like a good curling iron.
What an awesome review, that difference from the before and after is very different!
Looks like a great product! Because we all seem to want what we don’t have, my hair is wavy and I spend a lot of time with the flat iron trying to straighten it!
This is really neat looking. My hair doesn’t hold a curl well so if I want a wave I need tight spirals to begin with.
This would work well for my niece once she got the hang of it. She has very long and very straight hair.
This looks so easy to use! I need to try it out my hair is so boring!
The natural wave that this iron makes are really pretty and natural. I would love to use it on my hair for the holidays.
Oooo! I want one of those! I love the large loose curls
I have long straight hair! I will have to check this out for sure!
I need longer hair for this! Seems really difficult to use, but I’m sure that with a little bit of practice it would be much easier.
It sounds like an interesting tool – I’m not sure it would work for me as my hair is kinky and hard to style which is a shame.
This looks so amazing, the way it curls your hair is so beautiful!
The before and after are great! I love these curls
That looks pretty amazing. I think it would be good for people like me, too who have naturally curly/wavy hair and sometimes there is always just that one that gets so out of place and difficult to work with.
I am not sure that I would use the instawave as I don’t have that much patience when it comes to my hair. I do like the final outcome though.
My daughter has long straight hair. I will have to get her one and see how it works for her.
I have been wearing the too tired to care mommy look and I think this would be great to have to help fix it
I like that it’s subtle and natural looking. The fake look of a curling iron is so long gone, and hurrah for it. 🙂
I would love to get this for my daughter. She has naturally wavy hair but really likes accentuating her waves.
